MAN ABOUT LONDON.
London Festival of Architecture (June 2017)
Following a sell out season in 2016, Tim Ross and Kit Warhurst are thrilled to return to the UK as part of the London Festival of Architecture to perform their brand new show.
For the last four years Tim and Kit have been performing in unique locations and skillfully blended storytelling, music and design in a mold breaking format that has seen them literally sell out houses across the globe.
The Rumpus Room and other stories from the suburbs, Tim Ross' latest book, is a heavily pictorial book and Rosso describes it as “a coffee table book for people who don’t have particularly good coffee tables”. From the beachside holiday house to the backyard pool and the rumpus room, the architecture of the suburbs forms the backdrop to a uniquely Australian way of life. Tim roams through these familiar places to paint a picture of Australian domesticity and its relationship to the Australian psyche in all its funny, nostalgic, ironic and often acutely cringe-worthy glory.
“Must see show of the Festival.” New York Times.
“Had us in stitches.” Sunday Times (UK)
“Hilarious” The Age.
“With quick wit and telling anecdotes, Tim shares his passion for modern design and architecture — the fortunate audience is left both enlightened and entertained.” Wendy Kaplan Department Head and Curator Los Angeles County Museum of Art
With small capacities, tickets are extremely limited, book now to avoid missing out.
The show runs for one hour and 35 minutes with a short interval.
** The Rumpus Room and other stories from the suburbs will be available for purchase on the night and Rosso will even have his biro ready for some custom words of wisdom inside the front cover. **
Hosted by our Aussie friends at HASSELL Studios
